<p>👋 <strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We’re building the infrastructure layer that makes risk in tokenised finance machine-<br>
readable, onchain, and composable: an AI-driven risk scoring engine, a cross-chain<br>
risk protocol, and an institutional-grade analytics platform.</p>
<p>For that reason, we're hiring a <strong>Head of Engineering</strong> to own and scale our engineering function. This is a leadership role at the intersection of people management, product delivery, and infrastructure excellence.</p>
<p>You will lead our engineering team day-to-day - running 1:1s, driving execution, and building a high-performing team culture. You'll work directly with the CTO and Head of AI to translate a big technical vision into reliable, scalable systems. Your mission is to stabilize our core infrastructure, establish engineering discipline, and grow the team's velocity and output.</p>
<h2>Tasks</h2>
<ul>
<li>Own the engineering team - run all 1:1s, manage performance, unblock engineers, and drive accountability across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.</li>
<li>Stabilize and scale core infrastructure - identify and resolve critical gaps in our existing systems, establish engineering standards, and build toward a resilient, production-grade architecture.</li>
<li>Drive delivery - translate product and business priorities into clear engineering roadmaps, sprint structures, and shipping cadences.</li>
<li>Coordinate with the Head of AI - ensure smooth integration between the AI pipeline and the broader platform infrastructure, from data ingestion to API delivery.</li>
<li>Build engineering culture - introduce the right processes (code review, incident response, documentation, testing) without creating bureaucracy.</li>
<li>Hire and grow the team - own recruiting, onboarding, and team composition decisions in close alignment with the CTO.</li>
<li>Represent engineering in leadership discussions - bridge the gap between technical reality and business expectations.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Requirements</h2>
<ul>
<li>7-12 years in software engineering, with 3+ years in an engineering leadership role owning a team directly (not just tech lead).</li>
<li>Proven track record managing and growing small-to-mid-size engineering teams in a fast-moving startup environment.</li>
<li>Strong full-stack understanding: backend systems, frontend delivery, cloud infrastructure (AWS), and API design.</li>
<li>Experience inheriting and stabilizing broken or scaling infrastructure - not just greenfield builds.</li>
<li>Excellent people manager: you do 1:1s properly, give direct feedback, and create clarity in ambiguous environments.</li>
<li>Strong communicator upward (founders/CTO) and downward (engineers) - you translate between vision and execution fluently.</li>
<li>Highly structured and process-oriented, but pragmatic - you ship, then you improve.</li>
<li>Entrepreneurial by nature: you build, you own, you drive.</li>
<li>Bonus: familiarity with data-heavy platforms, analytics infrastructure, or financial/fintech products.</li>
<li>Bonus: exposure to blockchain or Web3 infrastructure.</li>
