Job Description
This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity, transitioning to the Defense Health Agency in FY27. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting DoD's mission to expand its suicide risk reduction efforts by fostering wellness, increasing resilience while maximizing resources in order to mitigate individual risk while improving quality of life for Service members and their families.
**Qualifications:**
You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: Making recommendations on suicide prevention programs and the ability to resolve and analyze complex issues and problems; Conducting studies, investigations and analysis on suicide prevention programs; Effectively manage a balanced, coherent, and efficient suicide prevention program. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
