ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR)

You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (NUCLEAR) in the Nuclear Quality Division of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

**Qualifications:**
For the GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with radiological control requirements, procedures, and practices as dictated by NAVSEA, BUMED, DOT, CFR, and local shipyard policies. Experience conducting in-depth radiological assessments, audits, surveillances, and reviews; including familiarity with audit methods, problem investigation, data analysis, and reporting procedures to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement. Experience in industrial radiological controls, nuclear work processes, and shipyard operations, including submarine overhauls. Experience effectively communicating, both orally and in writing, with various levels of shipyard personnel including preparation of comprehensive reports. Experience analyzing deficiency reports to identify trends and influencing personnel to adopt improved radiological practices. For the GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with radiological control requirements, procedures, and practices as dictated by NAVSEA, BUMED, DOT, CFR, and local shipyard policies. Experience in industrial radiological controls, nuclear work processes, and shipyard operations, including submarine overhauls. Experience communicating, both orally and in writing, with various levels of shipyard personnel including preparation of comprehensive reports. Experience with problem investigation and reporting to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
