Job Description
This National Guard position is for a TRAINING TECHNICIAN, Position Description Number D3024000 and is part of the Oregon Air National Guard 142nd Wing, National Guard.
**Qualifications:**
Areas of Consideration: Area 1 - Current permanent and indefinite T32 technicians of the Oregon ANG. Area 2 - Current permanent and indefinite T5 employees of the Oregon ANG. Area 3 - Current service members in the Oregon ANG. GENERAL and SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Involves nonprofessional work of a technical, specialized, or support nature in the field of education and training when the work requires knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, or pertinent regulatory requirements affecting the education or training activity. Work includes education and training tasks for maintenance, operations, and support training; education services; curriculum development; and instructor activities. Work includes developing, delivering, and evaluating education and training programs and classroom activities. Applicant's demonstrated ability to follow directions, read, understand, and retain instructions, regulations, and procedures that otherwise validate the ability to perform or learn to perform the duties of the position. Typically, specialized experience includes knowledge in training centers, training programs, schools, and units. Experience in conducting or developing education and training programs. Experience conducting, supervising, or developing education or training programs. An understanding of the Army or Air Force education and training policy requirements. Experiences in working programs to include developmental education, voluntary education, advanced academic education, promotion testing, and libraries. Knowledge of audio-visual presentation, educational tests, and measurements, and instructing techniques. GS-09 - 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Knowledge of Army or Air Force education and training programs regarding their principles and procedures. Experience in performing interviews and counseling techniques; training techniques and instruction methods; task analysis procedures, learning processes, curriculum development, training evaluations, and education and training systems and products; effective writing skills; editing practices; instructional media application, training reporting, program and curriculum validation, and implementation procedures. Experience in scheduling training events and facilities; supporting assistance visits and training meetings; or assisting in work center and individual job qualification standard development; education institution registration requirements; and military personnel classification system and policies. Experience in the capabilities of communicative interpersonal skill applications and distance learning concepts. Experience as a participant and presenter during training and military or civilian conference events. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled.
