CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Acquisition Division, Acquisition Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND ATLANTIC.

**Qualifications:**
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting acquisition planning and contract pre-award and post-award functions to determine method of procurement and contract type, documenting acquisition strategy, and obtaining appropriate approvals; 2) Awarding contracts for procurements of extensive construction, architect-engineer services, facility support contracts, etc., supporting Small and Disadvantaged Business Programs whenever possible; 3) Administering contracts to include contract scope determinations, contract modifications, supplemental agreements, justifications, approval reviews/fair opportunity evaluations and claims disputes, and contract terminations; and 4) Interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific contracting issues.
