**Qualifications:**
You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Supervisory Benefits Advisor, as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For this position: Applicants must demonstrate in their resume 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal Service and meet at least three of the following examples of specialized experience statements: 1) Experience planning, implementing, and/or evaluating programs related to employee benefits, compliance with federal regulations such as the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Affordable Care Act (ACA), or related legislation. 2) Experience providing detailed technical advice and assistance to stakeholders, including plan administrators, employers, and participants regarding the application and interpretation of employee benefits laws and regulations. 3) Experience building and maintaining effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders, as well as developing and delivering outreach initiatives, educational programs, and presentations that inform and support them in understanding their rights and responsibilities under applicable benefit laws. 4) Experience supervising, mentoring, and leading teams in a professional environment, including setting performance standards, conducting evaluations, and fostering professional development, as well as coordinating work assignments and managing resources to effectively achieve program objectives. 5) Experience evaluating a wide range of matters related to employee benefits, identify potential violations, and propose solutions through collaborative negotiation and conflict resolution.
