Job Description

About the Position: Works in the International Movement Support Division (G33-IS) on the staff of the Military Surface Deployment and Distribution Command (SDDC) and supports the SDDC Commanding General in the accomplishment of the command's mission. Provides SDDC with objectively based information for making decisions on the planning, development, and execution of international transportation requirements which include sealift, seaport and transportation-related logistics contracts.

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service which includes experience in: 1) Ability to apply knowledge of transportation and logistics concepts, principles, policies and practices of operations, requirements, and methodology applicable to International Transportation Requirements and Contract Services. 2) Knowledge of acquisition lifecycle management, functional transportation management, and automated transportation systems to aid in resolving contract issues. 3) Ability to collect, analyze, and evaluate data to assess and improve program effectiveness. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
