MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a MILITARY & FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T57014P1 and is part of the OH J9 Family Readiness, National Guard. The purpose of the position is to provide support in the administration of Military & Family Readiness Program (SFRP) services for the Army National Guard within the State Family Program.

**Qualifications:**
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year of experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Knowledge of the National Guard and its mission. Skilled in collecting, organizing, and submitting program data in accordance with established reporting procedures and systems of record. Proficient knowledge of conducting staff assistance visits to ensure program compliance and effectiveness. Proficiency in managing and operating a Family Assistance Center or something similar, providing information, resource referrals, and non-medical case management for essential services per policy. Experience in developing and maintaining a comprehensive directory of resources, agencies, and organizations to assist Service Members and Families. Adept at coordinating assistance from military, government, and civilian organizations to provide quality of life support
