Job Description
This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of the Chief of Operations, House Office Buildings, Division Director, Client Services Division. The incumbent serves as Facilities Manager, responsible for the management and direction of the House Office Buildings (HOB) labor and custodial operations.
**Qualifications:**

Specialized experience: is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For the GS-13: Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-12) grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience: (1) Providing facilities management services to evaluate, adapt, and/or modify procedures and practices concerning the management of property, facilities, equipment, plans, and grounds; (2) Directing the management and/or administration of the operations of a labor and custodial organization; and (3) Coordinating with other organizations to change plans, methods, and/or procedures to prevent problems, and/or to determine appropriate labor and custodial maintenance procedures. For the GS-14: Candidates for the GS-14 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower (GS-13) grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience: (1) Planning, forecasting, managing resources, and/or determining equipment to accomplish work and to increase effectiveness; (2) Managing budgetary resources, manpower and costs; (3) Performing administrative and/or technical supervisory functions for subordinates performing work for various programs and operations; and (4) Developing performance requirements for subordinate supervisors and providing employee skills enrichment through job-related coaching, mentoring and training.
