Training Specialist

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION - PERMANENT This National Guard position is for a Training Specialist, Position Description Number NGD0925000 and is part of the Guam 203rd Regional Training Institute, National Guard.

**Qualifications:**
MILITARY GRADES: Enlisted: E5 - E6 COMPATIBLE AND PREFERRED MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Enlisted: 42A, 92Y and 11B GENERAL EXPERIENCE: All Series GS-1712 candidates must be certified at the next higher level before being eligible for that level. Each applicant must have the education and validated understanding of the basic principles and concepts of the occupational series and grade. Applicants must have the experiences, education, or training that demonstrates the ability to follow directions, to read, understand, with the ability to retain and recall a variety of instructions, regulations, and procedures; and, most importantly for specific positions, must have the competencies (Skills, Knowledge, Abilities and Behaviors) to translate specific subject's criteria and information into a teaching/training capability. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that demonstrated a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis.
