Job Description
The Office of Aerospace Medicine (AAM) develops and manages medical programs in support of Aviation Safety (AVS).
**Qualifications:**
To qualify at the FV-K (FG/GS 15) level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year Specialized Experience equivalent to the FV-J (FG/GS 14) level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position to be filled, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes: Interpreting and applying federal regulations and polices related to drug and alcohol testing programs within a transportation or regulatory environment; Evaluating, drafting, or coordinating regulatory or policy documents (e.g., rulemakings, orders, or guidance) that impact organizational compliance programs; Managing/overseeing complex compliance activities, including assessing the effectiveness of drug and alcohol testing program implementation and recommending improvements; Communicating complex regulatory requirements and policy changes to internal and external stakeholders, including drafting formal correspondence or policy interpretations; and Leading cross-functional teams or coordinating with multiple stakeholders (e.g., legal, policy, enforcement) to develop or revise national policy, guidance, or rulemaking initiatives.
