INTERIOR DESIGNER

You will serve as a SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER in the Planning, Design, and Construction Directorate of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.

**Qualifications:**
Selective Placement Factor: This position requires Registration, Licensure, or Certification as an Interior Designer in the District of Columbia, a US State, or a US territory. (NOTE: IF YOU CLAIM TO BE REGISTERED, YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR REGISTRATION WITH YOUR APPLICATION IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED). Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Providing subject matter expertise to design team members in the area of furniture, fixtures and equipment (FF&E) design; 2)Identifying areas of risk associated with design and construction and develops mitigation strategies or alternatives; 3)Preparing scopes of work and Government fee estimates for Architect/Engineering services pertaining to interior design; 4) Providing technical input for initial outfitting requirements with procurement agents, project managers, and end users; and 5)Providing coaching, mentoring, and training to lower graded Interior Designers.
