The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to develop and implement aircraft maintenance work plans and schedules to ensure the effective and efficient accomplishment of required maintenance and coordination in support of unit operational flight scheduling and provide training to reservists.

**Qualifications:**
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Group Standard for Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position being filled. Specialized experience is experience gained while assisting in preparing production plans for specific projects and operations; compiling estimates for different types of skilled labor; advising procurement or supply activities; scheduling and controlling primary work assignments to manufacturing activities and determining the status of work in progress, time required to complete the job, the availability of materials, and tools required. OR EDUCATION: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or master's or equivalent graduate degree in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. Ability to plan, schedule and take corrective action to meet emergency and regular workload requirements and correlate and analyze a variety of routine production data, technical manuals and directives to determine applicability. 2. Knowledge of and ability to interpret aircraft and manufacturing terminology, technical orders, data standards and instructions and to relate them properly to the particular control projects assigned in preparing production plans schedules and in maintaining effective follow-up. 3. Knowledge of maintenance organization structures and skill in the distribution of personnel to obtain a balance of workload. 4. Knowledge and skill of appropriate production/technical processes and material posture of maintenance work centers to ensure continuing availability of material requirement and knowledge of aerospace systems, subsystems, components, and associated inspection, repair, modification, and supply processes. 5. Knowledge of and skill in the use of automated maintenance information systems (MIS) and aircraft maintenance documentation processes to collect, compile and correlate production data from a variety of sources and use that data to determine compliance status of scheduled maintenance, inspection and modifications. 6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
