Job Description

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations (OFO), International Operations and Advisory Directorate (IOAD), Mission Support Division. **Qualifications:**
Experience: You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Generating required financial reports and creating and submitting journal vouchers to support the full Journal Vouchering process for assigned accounts. Reconciling pay and non-pay financial data across multiple funding lines to determine and document available reimbursable authority for the fiscal year. Using Analysis for Excel and advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, formulas, and automation tools on recurring financial datasets to organize, calculate, and validate budget and execution data. Running Budget Execution and Status Application reports and applying appropriate labor codes on a regular schedule to track, review, and document overtime charges for designated organizations. Accessing and navigating CBP financial systems to run standard and ad-hoc reports and to initiate and document the distribution and realignment of funding among program and project codes. You must: Meet all qualification requirements, including education if applicable to this position, subject to verification at any stage of the application process; and Meet all applicable Time in Grade requirements (current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the federal service) by 04/17/2026.
