Job Description
This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Secretary- Land and Minerals Management (AS·LMM), Department of the Interior (DOI), and serves as Chief of Staff to the Assistant Secretary, providing advice, counsel, analysis and oversight regarding issues and policies of the most critical nature impacting the mission, strategic goals, financial management and operations of BLM, BSEE, BOEM and OSMRE. The minimum pay is $151,611 based on the selectee's current salary and other factors.

In-depth knowledge of broad issues related to management controls, audits, financial management, budget, human resources, GPRA, and information technology, as well as their interrelationships, in order to provide overall direction, develop policy. coordinate programs and advise management. TQ2. Ability to provide guidance/counsel to top executive management of an agency/organization with respect to policy/program/management issues and to coordinate with counterpart authorities with related responsibilities in other organizations. Qualifications will be evaluated based on how clearly and concisely you emphasize your level of responsibilities, the scope and complexity of your programs; services managed; program accomplishments; policy initiatives undertaken; level of contacts; the sensitivity and criticality of the issues addressed; and the results of your actions taken. Typically, experience will have been gained at the GS-15 or equivalent in the private sector or non-governmental organizations.
