Assistant United States Attorney (Criminal)

The United States Attorney's Office for the District of Wyoming currently has three Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) positions available in our Criminal Division. Two of these positions are located in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and one position is located in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. The District of Wyoming encompasses a large and diverse geographical area of 97,914 square miles and a population of 588,283.

**Qualifications:**
Required Qualifications: Applicants must possess a J.D. Degree, be an active member of the bar (any U.S. jurisdiction), have at least 3 years post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience, and demonstrated excellence in trial advocacy and legal writing. If the successful candidate is not a member of the Wyoming State Bar and is not eligible to become a member of the Bar upon motion or transfer of UBE score, he or she will be expected to favorably complete the Wyoming Bar Examination at the next available opportunity. United States citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications: Hiring for AUSA positions is highly competitive.
