Job Description
The official title is Labor Investigator. This position serves as a Labor Investigator (Non-LEO). The incumbent oversees the OLMS civil enforcement program nationwide. One vacancy to be filled at an OLMS office (see duties section below); final duty station will be determined upon selection. This position is outside the bargaining unit.
**Qualifications:**
You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Labor Investigator (Non-LEO), as described below. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. For the GS-14 level: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-13, in the Federal Service. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-14 level includes at least three (3) of the following: Leads, plans and conducts civil investigations and enforcement activities related to labor unions; Directs, supervises, and/or assists with rerun elections; Interprets complex labor union laws and regulations, researches issues and elicits specific information; and/or Recommends and/or develops enforcement strategies and programs related to labor unions.
