Recreation Assistant (ODR)

About the position: The primary purpose of this positions is to perform as shift lead in the Resale and Rental operation for the Outdoor Recreation Center, 35th Force Support Squadron, Misawa AB Japan. This is a Flexible category position; Guaranteed 0 to 40 hours per week, depending on the needs of the facility. Military Spouse Preference IS NOT lost if selected for this position.

Qualifying Experience: Experience demonstrating a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs, AND Practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned. Ability to safeguard and handle cash. Condition(s) of Employment: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds on a regular and recurring basis. Must have a valid driver's license. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to satisfactorily complete pre-employment physical. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of background investigation (Tier 1 level) is required. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
