Job Description

The position(s) covered by this vacancy announcement is in the Department of Defense (DoD) Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo). For more information please see: AcqDemo This position is part of the Defense Microelectronics Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for provide strategic leadership for the organization's IT and cybersecurity programs, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, long-term (3-5 years) strategic plans, and emerging threats.

**Qualifications:**
You may qualify at the NH-04, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Leading IT and cybersecurity strategies, anticipating mission needs, resource requirements, and emerging threats. Advising senior management on risk levels, cybersecurity posture, and cost/benefit analyses to inform risk acceptance decisions. Planning and directing operations through subordinate supervisors, setting priorities, and assigning work based on complexity and employee capabilities. Establishing and managing a comprehensive cybersecurity risk management program, including supply chain risk considerations and implementing mitigation strategies. Overseeing IT and cybersecurity financial planning, budgeting, staffing, and contracting to support mission requirements. Serving as the senior liaison for cybersecurity matters, engaging stakeholders to align priorities, resolve issues, and synchronize actions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
