Maint/Operations Supervr

Incumbent serves as Foreman of Maintenance and Operations in Engineering Service at the Troy Bowling and/or Franklin R. Sousley campuses, and also responsible for Engineering related maintenance in 4 CBOC's that include Morehead, Hazard, Somerset and Barea. This position involves the direct supervision of the Electronics Mechanic Foreman, the Maintenance Foreman, Utility Systems Operator Foreman, Fleet Management Foreman and Plumbing Foreman.

SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out element, which usually appears as question 1 in the on-line questionnaire. Those applicants who appear to possess at least the minimal acceptable qualification requirement are considered for further rating; those who do not are rated ineligible and are eliminated. Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Must be physically capable of walking considerable distances, climbing heights, entering cramped/confined areas to assure proper accomplishment of work. The incumbent is exposed to the same working conditions as his employees. He must be physically fit. This includes the potential for lifting heavy equipment, bending, stooping, and working in cramped areas for extended periods of time and often working in very hot or cold places. Frequent visits to interior and exterior sites are required where the incumbent is exposed to physical and environmental hazards such as falling objects, tripping and falling, electric shock, burns, dust, debris, noise and chemical exposure.
