AUTOMOTIVE MECHANIC

About the position: This position is assigned to the Auto Skills Center at F. E. Warren AFB, WY. This position is considered Flexible and is guaranteed 0.00 hours but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. Flexible employees are not eligible for leave or benefits. The starting pay for this position is set by Federal pay setting regulations at $24.89 per hour.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Requires working knowledge of maintenance equipment and automotive mechanics, skill in the use of a wide variety of equipment repair tools, and various types of mechanical repair. Knowledge of the theory, care, and operation of internal combustion engines and mowing equipment is required. Ability to communicate effectively and keep business records. Must be able to follow written and/or oral instructions, work orders, and specifications related to maintenance of equipment and vehicles.
