Industrial Hygienist

This position is being filled under AcqDemo Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for non-acquisition positions involving 51% or more of time in direct support of acquisition positions within Business & Technical Management Professional Career path. This position is part of the Defense Microelectronics Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations related to occupational health and safety, including OSHA, EPA, DTSC, SMAQMD, & DoD directives.

**Qualifications:**
You may qualify at the NH-04 , if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03 or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service as listed below: Developing, implementing, and/or managing a comprehensive industrial hygiene and environmental programs tailored to the specific hazards and processes. Conducting detailed workplace assessments to identify and evaluate potential occupational health hazards. Recommending and implementing appropriate control measures. Prioritizing engineering controls such as fume hoods, local exhaust ventilation (LEV), and /or enclosed process equipment. Designing, evaluating, and/or recommending engineering controls specifically designed for microelectronics manufacturing environments (e.g. evaluating the effectiveness of clean room HEPA filtration systems). Recommending modifications to process equipment to reduce emissions, and designing specialized local exhaust ventilation (LEV) systems for specific processes.
