Job Description
The Human Resources Specialist position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice, Justice Management Division, Office of Human Capital, Executive Resources staff. The ER staff manages & provides Department-wide HR policy oversight of the Senior Executive Service (SES), Senior Level (SL), Schedule C, & Presidential appointments in the areas of ER policy, SES/SL allocations, position management/classification, staffing/recruitment, performance management/compensation, & executive development.
**Qualifications:**
To qualify for the position of Human Resources Specialist, at GS-0201-14, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. GS14 Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band. Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Providing advisory services to senior executives and/or agency leadership on Human Resources Executive Resources programs, including performance management, position management, classification, staffing, and/or executive pay; 2) Managing or supporting Senior Executive Service and/or senior-level leadership on Human Resources processes, including performance management systems (e.g., performance plans, appraisal documentation, PRB coordination), position allocation, position management activities, and/or executive staffing actions; AND 3) Interpreting and/or applying laws, regulations, and/or guidance governing Executive Resources programs, including Senior Executive Service performance management, executive pay, and/or position management/classification. You MUST meet all qualification requirements, including time-in-grade, by the 04/27/2026 of this announcement.
