Supervisory Financial Management Specialist

This position is located in the Office of Budget and Financial Management (OBFM), Executive Office for Immigration Review, U. S. Department of Justice. Incumbent directs a staff that performs a wide variety of analytical, reporting and administrative functions connected with financial management, audit, policies, accounting transactions and presentations. This is a Competitive Service position; additional positions may be filled from this announcement within 90 days of certificate issuance.

**Qualifications:**
To qualify for the position of Supervisory Financial Management Specialist, at GS-0501-14, you must meet the qualification requirements listed below. TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS - 13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. (Please submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. If your eligibility for both merit promotion and/or time-in-grade cannot be determined, your application will be rated ineligible. Please see Required Documents for additional information). Time-in-grade requirements also apply to VEOA applicants having held a GS position in the past year. FOR THE GS-14 LEVEL: Specialized Experience: Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties: Providing direction, leadership, and supervision in developing, implementing, and updating policies, standards, and guidance pertaining to budget and financial management programs and services for an organization; Planning workflow and work assignments for staff by setting and adjusting short term work priorities; Developing performance standards and evaluating staffs work performance; and Managing the planning, evaluation, and reviewing of an organizations financial management systems.
