Job Description

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have experience or education and knowledge of the maintenance operations and technical practices, mechanical make-up, major/minor repair, diagnosing and testing of parts and working relationships of heavy mobile equipment, electromotive equipment, and automotive specialty vehicles. Specialized knowledge of electrical techniques to make engine adjustments, set points, and time engines according to established specifications. Skill in using a variety of general purpose hand and power tools. Skill in measuring, fitting, and installing components. Ability to select, interpret, and apply appropriate repair manuals to test, troubleshoot and repair a variety of equipment and vehicles. Must be able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 40 lbs & occasionally over 50 lbs. Frequently bends, stoops, crawls and works in tight spaces. Satisfactory completion of pre-employment physical is required. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a T1 background. Must possess a valid driver's license. This is a drug tested designated position.
