Job Description
NIST is seeking a Supervisory Management Analysis Officer to lead the Management and Organization Office. This role drives agency-wide organizational effectiveness, compliance, and operational performance, and involves supervising staff, directing policy and process improvements, overseeing FOIA/Privacy Act and records programs, and coordinating audits and oversight activities.
**Qualifications:**
This position requires one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level (ZA-IV at NIST). Specialized experience is defined as: Managing federal information programs specifically related to the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and the Privacy Act (PA), to include handling sensitive or classified information requests; Providing advice and guidance to management and other officials on audits, records management and compliance issues; Coordinating and directing records management activities and the accomplishment of difficult and diverse functions or issues related to records management; and Ensuring compliance with the Federal Records Act and accompanying regulations. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
