Job Description
This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Transportation and Air Quality, Testing and Advanced Technology Division, Information Management Branch. About: The Office of Air and Radiation. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
**Qualifications:**
NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements, including any requirements described in the Education section, by the closing date of this announcement. In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing technical advice related to operating systems, hardware or software design, development, or implementation; providing input on information technology programs and procedures; and coaching or mentoring others on IT related work. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-14 level defined as advising teams, stakeholders, and/or senior leadership, on the development or implementation of Program related IT testing, regulatory or compliance; providing oversight and recommendations on IT programs, policies or procedures; and leading IT services, workgroups, projects or programs. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully for GS-14: Information Technology Program Management.* Strategic Thinking. Information Technology Architecture.* Coaching and Developing Others.* Supervisory and Leadership Judgement. Managing Employees. Oral Communication. Written Communication. Policy Planning and Execution. Political Savvy.
