Job Description
You will serve as a Heavy Mobile Equipment Repair Inspector Supervisor I in the Inspection Branch (Code 721), Lifting and Handling Department of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability To Lead Or Supervise Conducting annual condition and preventative maintenance inspections on all fixed weight lifting equipment, to ensure capability and reliability. Planning and coordinating complex weight handling inspection operations in support of ship repair projects. Applying broad knowledge of weight handling equipment (WHE) maintenance, testing, inspection methods and record keeping procedures used in supporting weight handling equipment repair and certification. Identifying deficiencies on WHE and determining if engineering evolutions are required. Accounting for the Branch's qualification training, work schedule execution, and budget.
