Job Description

You will serve as a PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the RADIOLOGICAL MONITORING DIVISION, RADIOLOGICAL CONTROL OFFICE of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience with applying physical science methods, concepts, principles and practices. * Experience interpreting nuclear work processes and trade operations sufficient to plan and coordinate the development and implementation of appropriate radiological controls. * Experience directing and coordinating subordinate technicians, Ship's Force, and others to ensure efficiency. * Experience overseeing and accomplishing a broad range of complex tasks involving detailed knowledge of theoretical and practical matters related to the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program including, but not limited to: health physics, applied radiological controls, abnormal situation response, and training of junior technicians on technical skills, theories, and radiological work practices. * Experience providing on-scene radiological control response for actual or potential radiological emergencies, casualties, training exercises, and proficiency drills.
