Supervisory Environmental Engineer/Mechanical Engineer

This position is in the Office of Air and Radiation, Office of Transportation and Air Quality, Implementation, Analysis and Compliance Division, Light Duty Vehicle Compliance Branch. About: The Office of Air and Radiation. This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to one of the duty stations stated in this announcement on a regular basis.

**Qualifications:**

In addition to the basic education requirements, you must have specialized experience and/or directly related education as described below: To qualify for the GS-14 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-13 level defined as providing technical advice related to mobile source emissions regulations/compliance or certifications; providing input on criteria pollutant standards and/or fuel economy labeling requirements; and coaching/mentoring others or collaborating with internal or external stakeholders on environmental issues. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Policy Planning and Execution.* Program/Project Management/Evaluation.* Planning and Evaluating.
