Job Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INTERDISCIPLINARY in the N45 Environmental Programs of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

**Qualifications:**
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating leadership and expertise in managing environmental programs with the DoD, with a working knowledge of DoD organization, policies, regulations, and guidance. Specific Navy experience is ideal. Experience demonstrating leadership and expertise and is considered an expert in engineering, environmental science, and/or natural resources; to include environmental application to facilities, water/utilities programs, spill contingency planning and response planning, tank compliance, management of hazardous substances/petroleum products, National Environmental Policy Act, Natural Resource Management, and Cultural/Tribal Resource management. Experience demonstrating the ability to work complex technical issues, develop recommendations, overcome challenges, communicate change, and implement recommendations. Experience demonstrating ability to work in a team, lead/supervise a team of subject matter experts, seek common understanding, and communicate common goals. Experience demonstrating skills required when working cooperatively with Federal and State resource and regulatory agencies, Federal and local officials, other Federal Agencies, military leaders, stakeholders, and the general public.
