Job Description
The Program Support Assistant provides administrative and programmatic support in the Research Service of the White River Junction VA Medical Center (WRJVAMC). Serves as the principal provider of support to the Research and Development Committee (R&DC), Institutional Review Board (IRB) and the Research Safety Subcommittee (SRS), the Associate Chief of Staff for Research, and the Director of Research Operations, and will be the initial contact person for principal investigators.
**Qualifications:**
To apply for this position, you must have the following qualifications: To qualify for this position at the GS-6 level, you must meet the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-5 grade level, that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is: assisting with computer access requests, maintaining program administrative supplies and office equipment and assisting with tracking data for research programs. To qualify for this position at the GS-7 level, you must meet the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-6 grade level, that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience is: assisting with computer access requests, maintaining program administrative supplies and office equipment and assisting with tracking data for research programs, as well as performing all research and development support activities, reviewing the completeness all research proposals and general administrative support duties.
