Program Manager

About the Position: This is a Program Manager position with the USACE Kansas City District. Incumbent will have independent responsibility of accomplishing programmed objectives and for obtaining results in accordance with governing laws, policies, directives, and regulations and acceptable engineering practices.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Managing project milestones, quality, and budget from initiation through construction and initial operations; 2) Coordinating multidisciplinary teams and customer/customer requirements and communicating project progress, issues, risks, and impacts; AND 3) Experience measuring and monitoring progress and allocating project funds to team members and contractors. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
