Job Description

About the position: This position will be assigned to Joint Base Charleston or Naval Weapons Station Base Pool. This is a Regular Part-Time position. Regular Part-Time employees have regular/continuous work schedules of at least 20 hours to a max of 34 hours per week. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: **Required Certifications: Current Lifeguard Instructor/Training/CPR for the Professional (Title 22) and Standard First Aid by the American Red Cross (or equivalent) or completion of required certification within 30 days of appointment. Proficient in lifesaving techniques, radio communications, and decisive emergency response. Ability to conduct and document pool chemical testing and adjust chemical imbalances. Strong leadership and organizational skills to schedule, train, direct subordinate staff, and manage conflict. Excellent customer service skills, cash handling experience, and the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
