Job Description

Serves as a NAS Operations Manager (NOM) within the Fort Worth ARTCC Service Operations Center. The NOM is responsible to monitor the status of services and systems, perform or direct restoration of interrupted services/systems, operationally reconfigure services/systems to minimize interruptions and enhance service predictability within the SOC's area of responsibility. The NOM ensures the quality of NAS infrastructure services delivered to the critical air traffic operations facilities.

**Qualifications:**
Candidates must show experience at the level of difficulty and responsibility appropriate to the position. Specialized experience may be experience that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of and experience in the technology, system interrelationships, and management of civilian or military automated aviation, navigation, and electronics systems. Generally, experience at the next lower pay band of FV-I/level IV or equivalent, meets the minimum qualifications for this position as long as the experience provides ALL Demonstrated Abilities identified below. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience that demonstrates an extensive knowledge of and familiarity with the technology, system interrelationships, and the tools which monitor the National Airspace System (NAS). Specialized experience for this position includes experience with NAS monitoring tools such as Maintenance Automation System Software (MASS), Navigation Information System (NIS), and UIC (Universal Interlock Control), and training and/or certification for services related to the STARS, TDWR, ASDE, ITWSS, ATISS, LLWS, and communication systems. Experience utilizing Event Manger and NOTAM Manager applications to document and report NAS related outage. QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
