Job Description
You will serve as a NUCLEAR ENGINEER in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department under the supervision of the Nuclear Planning and Estimating Branch Head of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
**Qualifications:**
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of nuclear engineering that enables the incumbent to serve as a nuclear planner for work that integrates different phases such as overhaul, testing, maintenance, modification, and refueling associated with nuclear powered naval vessels and nuclear facilities.; Experience demonstrating knowledge of shipyards, operations, and communication, policies, practices, and functions of the various departments and commands or similar.; Experience or knowledge of technical and planning requirements for TWD writing, radiological controls, work induction, and work certification. Thorough knowledge of basic shop and trade operations and work processes.; General knowledge and understanding of the relationship and general operations of production supporting activities including quality and reliability assurance, budget and funding, and supply and purchasing.
