Job Description
The incumbent of this position serves as the principal or senior ATF representative to the host country on law enforcement matters. The position is located and the duties are performed in the host country. The primary function of this position is to direct and manage the planning, development and implementation of joint strategies, tactics, information sharing and other programs involving mutual law enforcement concerns between ATF and the host country.
**Qualifications:**
To qualify for this position at the GS-15 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14 by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Applying and enforcing ATF laws and policies concerning international trafficking in firearms; AND Negotiating and collaborating with others (i.e. interacting with other law enforcement agency (state, local or federal) and international; AND Providing leadership to others such as workgroups, teams or special projects.
