Job Description

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Cyber Military Intelligence Group (CMIG), located in Fort Gordon, Georgia.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one (1) year of experience equivalent to at least the GG-12 grade level in the Federal service which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: Conducting Human Intelligence (HUMINT) collection mission planning, execution, and coordination to answer Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs); developing and modifying appropriate analytical methods relating to HUMINT; briefing/advising superiors on intelligence positions to be taken based on personal evaluation of information received, or, the need for special or unscheduled research/collection projects; and, coordinating HUMINT and cyber intelligence analytical support on cyber related analysis, vulnerability assessments, and multi-discipline threat analysis in support of intelligence community partners. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Collection Operations Tools and Methods Intelligence Initiatives Planning and Coordination Intelligence Strategic Planning
