Maintenance Helper

This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Forces Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC); Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka. Incumbent serves as a Maintenance Helper and assists in repairs andupkeep of fitness facilities.

**Qualifications:**
Must be able to work under the direct and constant supervision of the Fitness Facility Coordinator, Sports Coordinator, or Fitness Director. Must be able to perform simple tasks independently after receiving detailed instructions. Exercise continual care, due to nature of tools and equipment used, and the weight of objects handled. Have basic knowledge of trade practices sufficient to complete simple tasks using common skills. Familiarity with safe use of common hand and powered tools. Must have the ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision performing maintenance duties such as plumbing; painting; air conditioning, carpentry and electricity.
