Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! **Qualifications:**
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 3 years experience working in group programs with children/youth as well as demonstrated knowledge in theories and principals of child/youth development. Skill to supervise employees and serve as a leader in the accomplishment of work. REQUIRED EDUCATION: (1) A Bachelor's degree in child or youth development, youth recreation, physical education, elementary education, secondary education, psychology, social work, or other degree appropriate to the position from an accredited college. OR (2) A combination of education and experience (e.g. courses equivalent to a major in a field (24 higher level semester hours) appropriate to the position (see above) plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the 4-year course of study described above. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Satisfactorily complete all background checks in accordance with DoD and Marine Corps policy for employees who provide child care services. Must pass a pre-employment physical and annual physical, thereafter, provide evidence of immunization and be free from communicable disease. Must complete all DoD training requirements within the specified time including orientation, initial, and annual ongoing training requirements, and required certifications, if any. Must maintain current food handlers, CPR and First Aid certifications. May be required to obtain a government driver's license. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal communication skills. Position is subject to both pre-employment and random drug testing as a condition of employment. A positive drug test, or failure to submit for testing, may become the basis for removal from this position.
