Chief Resident Services

This position is that of Chief, Resident Services, which is a senior-level management position located at the Armed Forces Retirement Home (AFRH), Washington D.C. The incumbent assures the provisions of the Resident Services area, residential care and services for Independent Living (IL), admissions, recreation services, food services, chaplain program, and volunteer program.

**Qualifications:**
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized Experience for the GS-14: You must have at least one year of experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 level in the federal service that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Specialized experience is defined as: Developing and applying management techniques and methodologies to plan, execute, review, or advise on programs such as budget, policy and regulation, or development and administration of contracts; AND Experience with various HR functions such as recruitment, personnel actions, performance reviews, etc. in the oversight of all operations of an office; AND Supporting performance improvement efforts to identify trends, assist with corrective actions, and monitor areas affecting regulatory compliance in a senior living environment, to include supporting accreditation and survey readiness by maintaining familiarity with applicable standards, preparing documentation, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams. SPECIAL NOTE: Long-term care experience and/or interacting with geriatric patients is highly desired.
