About the Position: Serves as Chief, Care and Preservation Division, responsible for planning, developing coordinating, directing and supervising the overall operations of the Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) maintenance program and field level maintenance program for all vehicles and material handling equipment (MHE) within MSC-K. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Planning and programing the operations for the storage life cycle of care and preservation for contingency issues, worldwide distribution, and field level maintenance.; 2) Directing and supervising the supply maintenance program such as Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) maintenance program and field level maintenance program for vehicles and material handling equipment (MHE).; 3)Providing advice and recommendations on the technical aspects of major inspection, care and preservation matters related to the supply maintenance program such as Care of Supplies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
