Job Description

This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.

**Qualifications:**
You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Using the Defense Transportation Systems (DTS), its capabilities, and incorporating transportation requirements, transportation management and logistics operations, and DoD customs and border clearance policy. Researching and analyzing transportation policy, doctrine, public laws, rules and their regulatory documents, and developing or recommending new DoD policy and procedures. Developing and presenting briefings on transportation systems, policies, and procedures to various federal, commercial or international audiences (e.g. staff components, Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) activities, Unified Commands, the Services and other agencies). Researching and analyzing complex DoD shipment import and or export clearance issues in the U.S. and or overseas relating to customs and or agriculture related discrepancies Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
