Job Description

This position will serve as a nationally and internationally recognized technical leader in directed energy research and systems and will guide and coordinate efforts to ensure that programs result in systems useful to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations OPNAV), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Department of War (DoW).

Knowledge and in-depth understanding of directed energy technologies, effects, countermeasures, and weapon system concepts and design. TQ#2. Demonstrated ability to leverage strategic thinking to formulate and guide a technology-based, systematic approach on large, complex problems to ensure seamless weapon system integration with military platforms and operational doctrines.
