Computer Operator (Developmental)

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and is located at the RAF Croughton, UK. Successful completion and favorable adjudication of applicable background investigation (Tier 3 Level) is required. Must be able to physically lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 lbs. Must be able to stand, walk, move around for extended periods of time. Must be willing to travel between 422 FSS operating locations.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience (MUST BE SUPPORTED IN RESUME): NF-02 (Intermediate Level): Knowledge of computer operations and peripheral devices. Skill in following established procedures and detailed instructions. Ability to provide basic technical support to users. Ability to use a ticketing system to track and manage technical support requests. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation. NF-03 (Target Level): All NF-02 requirements. One year of specialized experience operating computer systems in a professional setting. Ability to independently operate and monitor computer systems and peripheral devices, following established procedures. Ability to troubleshoot basic computer-related problems and provide effective solutions.
