Job Description

This position is located in the Risk Management Agency (RMA), This position is located in the Risk Management Agency (RMA), Deputy Administrator for Compliance (DAC), Business Analytics Division (BAD). This position is designated as mobile work. Mobile work is a condition of employment and is characterized by routine and regular travel to conduct work in customer or other worksites as opposed to a single authorized alternative worksite.

Time-in-Grade Requirement: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. You must meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-15 level: One full-time year of specialized work experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience: 1) utilizing analytical techniques, both cutting-edge and best-practice, including data visualization, data mining regression, machine learning, test design, optimization tools, etc. to develop and enhance analytic capabilities; 2) experience serving as a data analyst to research and gather data, performing studies to assess agricultural program activities and recommend improvements on issues related to program regulations, policies, practices; 3) applying expert knowledge of crop insurance programs, policies, procedures, regulations an or business support systems applicable to crop insurance, reinsurance, or risk management to execute and control projects that represent an important segment of the Risk Management Agency's operating programs and/or projects.
