Dean Distance Learning Programs

The primary focus of this position is: To lead and direct the Air Force Global College (AFGC) distance learning faculty to achieve mission and program objectives and provide an academic expertise in the design, development, and execution of distance learning educational courses programs. Serves as primary advisor to the AFGC Commandant and Air University staff on all matters related to AFGC curriculum and faculty.

**Qualifications:**
Broad knowledge of both the military and academic cultures. Broad knowledge of the subject matter that comprises the GCPME curriculum. Skill in designing, developing, and evaluating course materials. Knowledge of educational technology and distance learning strategies. Outstanding teaching skills. Broad knowledge of faculty recruitment, development, and promotion policies and issues. Knowledge of research methods and ability to conduct research in area of expertise. Ability to communicate effectively orally with a wide range and diverse group of people. Ability to write effectively including staff work and personnel assessments. Broad knowledge of military and civilian personnel systems. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization
