Chief Engineer, SSC

Serves as the Chief Engineer for Stennis Space Center (SCC). Provides independent oversight and guidance to the Center's mission focused work. The work involves detailed engineering oversight of cryogenic and storable propellant systems, high pressure (up to 15,000 psi) systems, instrumentation and control systems, rocket engine systems, institutional facilities and systems, and safety principles and practices related to high energy chemical propulsion systems.

**Qualifications:**
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Candidates must be a recognized subject matter expert with at least 1 year of directly related experience equivalent to the GS-15 level in liquid rocket propulsion testing, test systems, and test complexes (test stands and test support infrastructure). Also experience in performing independent in-depth technical assessments to detect, analyze, and mitigate technical risks associated with the programs and projects.
