Job Description
You will serve as an ENGINEER/SCIENTIST in the Electromagnetic & Sensor Systems Department of NAVSURFWARCENDLD.
**Qualifications:**
In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, ND-04 (GS 12/13 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional Engineer or Scientist with experience providing leadership, engineering expertise, technical guidance, and oversight in support of US Navy electromagnetic environmental effects requirements and fleet operations. Examples of qualifying experience include: 1. Demonstrated ability to effectively lead E3 efforts for major acquisition programs, build relationships and trust with a diverse customer base. 2. Proven ability to establish and implement updated technical policies and procedures to facilitate leadership and oversight across the entirety of the B55 portfolio and unique programmatic and technical needs. 3. Proven ability to effectively and professionally communicate orally and in writing with peers, sponsor organizations, key stakeholders, higher-level management, and industry on behalf of yourself, team, organization, and Navy. 4. Expert level knowledge of the multidisciplinary portfolio within B55 that spans electromagnetic pulse (EMP), radiation hazard (RADHAZ), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) certification and engineering efforts. 5. Recognized expertise in leading innovative change efforts with a workforce that is extremely diverse in terms of experience and education.
