Job Description

This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology (OIT). As a IT Specialist (APPSW/DATAMGT) referred to here as a Full Stack Engineer, GS-2210-09/11/12, you will provide technical and user support and consultation while contributing to analytical reporting efforts.

In order to qualify for the GS-09, you must meet the IT Competencies below AND the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Developing software code using programming languages to create basic applications or automate processes. Writing database queries to retrieve data or perform database maintenance tasks. Supporting system integrations between applications using APIs or file transfers. In order to qualify for the GS-11, you must meet the IT Competencies below AND the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector), to include: Developing software applications using programming languages such as Java, Python, .NET, or JavaScript to support business operations. Designing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to enable data exchange between applications, databases, or external systems. Designing database queries and data models to support application functionality and data storage requirements. Participating in software development lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment. In order to qualify for the GS-12, you must meet the IT Competencies below AND the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: Designing and developed Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to enable secure data access for developers and business partners. Designing and developed software applications and system integrations using modern programming languages to support data management and business process automation. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design technical solutions, and deliver software applications that meet business needs.
